Clarification of two treatments discussed during talk.
A few fanciers have phoned me since the talk asking for this info in writing.
The treatment of Salmonella that was spoken of was a mixture of
Mediprim and Medicox added to the water. Both are added to water at the
doses recommended on the label of both products. The dosages are not
halved because it is a mixture.
The mixture can be given during the race season. It is given for 3 to 4
days. The birds can be raced the same week with good results.
The best treatment for Pelistega the bacterial infection I spoke of was found to be Avivet.
More info was given on website fvl.vfu.cz
